You will practice answering common job interview questions by recording yourself at home. Imagine you are applying for a job offer related to your field of study. You will receive a set of interview questions.

 

Instructions:

• Record yourself answering the questions one by one

• Responses should not be extremely brief (one sentence), but they do not need

to be long speeches either. Aim for 3-6 complete sentences per question.

• Speak naturally.

• Use a professional register.

• You may re-record if necessary to improve clarity.

 

Questions: 

-       Tell me about yourself

-       What is your greatest strength? And weakness?

-       Tell me about a time you had to work in a team.

-       How do you handle stress or pressure?

-       Why do you want to work for our company?

 

Assessment criteria:

• Professionalism and register – formal and appropriate language for an interview.

• Confidence and delivery – natural tone, fluency, and self-assurance.

• Grammar and accuracy – correct use of grammar and sentence structure.

• Vocabulary– appropriate word choice and variety.

• Content and coherence – relevance, clarity, and organization of ideas.

• Pronunciation and intelligibility – clear and understandable speech.

 

Submission instructions: 

 

Upload the video(s) to your Google Drive and share a link via Moodle. Make sure the videos are accesible before sharing the link, as those files that cannot be opened will be penalized.

Consistently uses a professional, formal tone appropriate for a job interview; language is respectful and polished.

Inappropriate register; lacks awareness of professional context.

Confidence and Delivery

Speaks confidently and naturally; tone and pace are engaging and steady; minimal hesitation.

Generally confident; a few pauses or hesitations, but communication is smooth overall.

Some hesitation or monotone delivery; ideas are understandable but not fully natural.

Noticeable lack of confidence; frequent pauses, unclear delivery.

Very hesitant, monotone, or unclear delivery; difficult to follow.

Grammar and Accuracy

Accurate grammar and sentence structure throughout; minor errors do not affect meaning.

Few minor grammatical errors; overall clear and correct.

Some noticeable errors, but meaning remains mostly clear.

Frequent errors that occasionally obscure meaning.

Persistent grammatical errors that impede understanding.

Vocabulary

Wide range of precise and varied vocabulary appropriate for the topic and professional context.
